Where do you feel rejuvenated? Energized? At peace? Most like yourself?
Great questions to ask when deciding on a location for your senior pictures!
San Diego offers a lot of nature to choose from. If you like our ubiquitous fields and hills, then maybe the terrain around Lake Hodges is your spot. Meandering trails. Breezes sifting through eucalyptus leaves. Grassy textures swaying. The crunch of the dirt and gravel underfoot. All the earthy browns and greens that are so typical of our San Diego hills. Let your relaxed and natural side shine.
If you were a season, what would you be?
I often ask students that question as we are trying to decide on a location for their senior photo shoot.
As it turned out, Bri LOVES the fall! And I'm not just talking about warm hued leaves, but ALL the fall vibes! Cozy blankets. Warm cups of rich coffee. Plaid fabric, leather coats, denim jackets, boots. Plus, her birthday is in the fall.
She just feels most like herself wrapped up in ALL things autumn, so we packed up all the fall things and headed to Old Poway Park in early December to capture these memories.
Ahhh, Coronado: small town charm, vacation vibes, iconic hotel, movie star history, military pride, wide open beaches, island views. I can't tell you how much I love this location!
Kristen chose Coronado, California as the location for her college senior portrait session in the spring. The location has a lot of meaning for Kristen since she went to high school in Coronado and she graduated from nearby Point Loma Nazarene University. I can hardly believe all the local stories she has to tell!
Spring Fields in San Diego!
San Diego has a nice spring green for only a few months of the year, and the yellow mustard flowers only pop their color for a few weeks! We caught them at just the right time for this session. The dandelions even surprised us and we snuck them in for a few shots!
If you're looking for these fresh and happy spring colors, then you'll want to plan your session in the spring!
