You're in the right place to find out about your 2024 MCS senior yearbook photo. 

 

There are two different session options for your senior yearbook photo, the "Basic Yearbook" session and the "Yearbook Plus" session.  These sessions are exclusively available to MCS seniors. Below you can see samples of what each session looks like. 

Once you decide, go to the MCS sign up page on my site (see website header above or click here).  You will be able to choose a date, select the session package you'd prefer, make your payment, and sign the required release form. A confirmation email and further instructions will be sent after you sign up.

Expanded Senior Photo Sessions are also available. These may be scheduled in addition to your yearbook photo. I offer a "Full Length Session" that includes a custom location and 2-3 outfit changes (people generally spend between $500-$800), and also a "Mini-Session" at a local park ($350). Basic Yearbook Photo Session: $55

The MCS yearbook utilizes a traditional head shot in semi-formal attire for their seniors.  

Basic Yearbook Package includes:

  • A ten minute outdoor photo session.
  • Private online gallery with five yearbook style images to choose from.
  • You may select the image you want to appear in the yearbook.
  • The photographer will retouch your yearbook image and send it to MCS.
  • The option to purchase any images (digital files or prints) for yourself through your gallery. These are not included with the session fee.

Yearbook Plus Photo Session: $75 

Special offer for August only: Sign up for an August session date and get the Yearbook+Plus session for the discounted price of $55!

In addition to the above images created for the yearbook, this package includes five additional images that are a bit more relaxed in style.  These additional images are great for senior pages, announcements, or to frame.

Please note that this does not allow time for a clothing change. We will use the same outfit that is worn for the yearbook photo. We can remove the coat or tie for the men, or the ladies can bring a jacket, or sweater to mix up the look if they would like.

Yearbook Plus Package includes:

  • A fifteen minute outdoor photo session.
  • Private online gallery with five yearbook style images to choose from.
  • Gallery also includes five additional non-yearbook images (Same outfit please, but feel free to add/remove a jacket/sweater).
  • You may select the image you want to appear in the yearbook (must be the traditional yearbook style).
  • The photographer will retouch your yearbook image and send it to MCS.
  • The option to purchase any images (digital files or prints) for yourself through your gallery. These are not included with the session fee.

Great questions to ask when deciding on a location for your senior pictures!

San Diego offers a lot of nature to choose from.  If you like our ubiquitous fields and hills, then maybe the terrain around Lake Hodges is your spot. Meandering trails. Breezes sifting through eucalyptus leaves. Grassy textures swaying. The crunch of the dirt and gravel underfoot. All the earthy browns and greens that are so typical of our San Diego hills. Let your relaxed and natural side shine.

I often ask students that question as we are trying to decide on a location for their senior photo shoot. 

As it turned out, Bri LOVES the fall! And I'm not just talking about warm hued leaves, but ALL the fall vibes! Cozy blankets. Warm cups of rich coffee. Plaid fabric, leather coats, denim jackets, boots. Plus, her birthday is in the fall.

She just feels most like herself wrapped up in ALL things autumn, so we packed up all the fall things and headed to Old Poway Park in early December to capture these memories.

Kristen chose Coronado, California as the location for her college senior portrait session in the spring. The location has a lot of meaning for Kristen since she went to high school in Coronado and she graduated from nearby Point Loma Nazarene University.  I can hardly believe all the local stories she has to tell!

San Diego has a nice spring green for only a few months of the year, and the yellow mustard flowers only pop their color for a few weeks!  We caught them at just the right time for this session.  The dandelions even surprised us and we snuck them in for a few shots!
